| Job Description: |
An international business, my client are market leaders in the design and build of concrete and steel storage tanks. They are looking for a dynamic Health, Safety and Environmental professional to carry on the development of the 5 star safety management systems that they have in place.
Being the driving force behind a positive safe culture, duties will include:-
• Develop, implement and maintain the health, safety & environmental policies & procedures, ensuring that these are communicated to the workforce.
• Maintain the company’s safety accreditations & awards.
• Conduct site inspections and audits, checking for compliance with the company’s systems.
• Carry out accident investigations and identify root causes.
• Generate safety alerts; promote safety campaigns & initiatives across the group.
• Handle personal injury claims for compensation, in conjunction with company Solicitors.
• Work closely with Contracts, Design & Production department heads, to aid in the creation of risk assessments & safe systems of work.
Based from a manufacturing facility you will travel to construction sites throughout the UK in order to ensure the safe working of construction operatives. The successful candidate will have a NEBOSH Diploma and an IEMA Environmental certificate. 5 years experience working within a construction environment is preferable.
